Be Prepared for the Exam!

Here we are already at the end of the semester, and what a semester!
Here is all the information you will need to prepare yourself for your English exam.

If you are in my Bloc 2 class, review will be from June 7th - June 14th.
Your exam will be Thursday, June 16th.

If you are in my Bloc 6 class, review will be from June 7th - June 10th.
Your exam will be Monday, June 20th.

TEST: FRIDAY APRIL 1st

There will be a test Friday April 1st 2016.

The test will be about all the homophones we have seen this semester:

You need to be comfortable choosing the right homophone within a sentence.
You need to be comfortable inventing a sentence using a given homophone.

Activities completed in class

WEEK 1 (February 2nd - February 5th)
  • Tuesday February 2nd: Syllabus, student survey, diagnostic evaluation, start reading the short story On the Sidewalk Bleeding
  • Wednesday February 3d: Finish reading On the Sidewalk Bleeding, discuss and answer questions about the story, start finding literacy terms within the story
  • Thursday February 4th: Complete a plot graph with the events of the story On the Sidewalk Bleeding, spontaneous oral presentation on a subject that students are passionate about
  • Friday February 5th: Complete oral presentations, complete and hand-in First Impressions assignment

WEEK 2 (February 8th - February 12th)
  • Monday February 8th: Journal entry, read story Coffee, Snacks, Worms, dictionary search, answer questions about the story
  • Tuesday February 9th: Finish spontaneous oral presentations, finish answering yesterday's questions (Coffee, Snacks, Worms), What are adjectives, Find adjectives for the characters of Coffee, Snacks, Worms and explain your choices, Start adjectives assignment
